The crown of this stylish straw hat is blocked on a vintage pillbox block that features an asymmetrical tip. We use white parasisal for the crown, and pair it with a wide black sisol brim. It is trimmed with a black silk abaca bow, a long pheasant tail, and a white parasisal self-bow at the back.

This hat features many detailed millinery techniques, which gives it a stunning vintage look. Silk abaca is our new favorite millinery material, as it has a lovely sheen and makes beautiful bows. Pheasant tails curl like no other feather.
